Responsibilities:
Be at assigned workstation at the start of the shift.
Scanning in production from their shift.
Begin and end breaks at predetermined times.
Report staging area product shortages.
Return product not needed at the end of the day.
Maintain supply of product at each press/work station.
Skid finished product cases from each printing press/workstation properly.
Handle scrap as it is received on the carousel.
Complete and maintain box count sheet for each case placed on a skid.
Inspect box and label condition of each placed on skid.
Report all safety issues immediately.
Perform any other duties assigned.
Work extended shifts and weekend as needed.
Keep work area neat, clean and organized.
Understand the purpose and procedures of ISO/ SQF.
Inventory product in staging area and at press/workstations at the start of shift.
Operating and daily maintenance of stretch wrapper machine.
Load recycling trailer with recycle cardboard, plastics and or broken skids.
Authority to shut down any equipment based on safety or quality issue.
When loading product onto a trailer you need to fill out a “Load Sheet” with your initials, trailer number
date and destination of the trailer.
Once you are finished you need to make 2 copies and dispense in the
correct location.
When unloading a trailer scan product to it location.
Pre-shift exercise / stretching activity to be performed before you can enter production area unless written doctors release can be provided to Human Resources.
Qualifications:
Able to work independently and with others in a team oriented atmosphere.
Able to squat, stoop, bend to floor level safely.
Work around and have contact with grease, oil, solvent and inks without adverse reactions.
Capable of standing for extended period of time.
Good past work experience, including excellent attendance record.
Excellent organizational skills.
Physically able to pull skids of product with an electrical hand jack.
Able to lift approximately 35lbs.
over the shoulders.
Fork truck certification required before operating.
