*Combination Building Inspector - Job ID 23-056*
Douglas County is accepting applications for a Combination Building and Zoning Inspector with the Zoning and Codes Department.
Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work independently, possess problem solving as well as good communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience inspecting residential and commercial buildings to determine code compliance.
* Knowledge of materials, methods, and practices used in building construction.
* Knowledge of Building, Residential, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical codes.
* One or more ICC International Code Council certifications, or become ICC certified within 6 months of employment.

A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Science, or Construction Management is preferred.
A combination of education and experience may be substituted for a degree.

Minimum starting salary is $26.
37/hr.
