Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for auditing the production process to assure products are produced according to customer specifications, USDA/FDA regulations, and SQF practices.

Duties and Responsibilities
Pre-operation inspection for room cleanliness.
Titration of sanitation chemicals to ensure proper strength.
Calibrate and clean equipment in the workplace so that all machinery continues to operate safely and at peak performance.
Conduct Inbound product inspections.
Verifies thermometer accuracy.
Conducts multiple checks including tare weight, box weight and labeling checks.
Maintains clean work environment.
Assures consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good manufacturing practice (GMP) systems, validating processes, providing documentation.
Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, documenting evidence, determining operational and performance qualification, and writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits, and investigating customer complaints.
Ensure all Team Members are following safety procedures and quality control standards are being met.
Follows HACCP and SQF requirements for food quality and safety.

Experience working in food manufacturing/quality assurance a plus.
Mathematical Skills and Reasoning Ability
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

QA technicians are natural problem-solvers who are skilled at identifying potential issues throughout the production process and using their intuition to resolve those issues
Strong Communication
QA technicians interact with many people, such as supervisors, production teams, product managers, and employees.
It is important to be a strong, detailed communicator in a fast-paced environment in order for things to run smoothly.
Detail Oriented
Successful QA technicians have the ability to focus on details while multi-tasking in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
A strong attention to detail is also crucial in any process documentation created by the QA technician.
