*Job Summary*
A-Team Custom Construction needs qualified and responsible construction laborers to join our honest and reputable company.
The construction laborer will work on a team, led by the lead carpenter on a variety of projects.
He or she will have a basic knowledge of carpentry materials and will be ready and willing to learn further skills.
*Reporting*
Laborers report to the Foreman and/or Site Lead.
*Job Responsibilities*
● Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders and other tools as directed by management.
● Work with lead carpenter, learning construction skills and helping crews run more efficiently.
● Drive truck with dump bed to and from jobs and the land fill.
● Help maintain a clean and organized shop and yard at the A-Team facility.
● Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches.
● Shovel materials to and from construction areas, including asphalt and dirt.
● Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.
● Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site daily.
● Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
● Report incidents immediately to safety director, foreman or HR in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the company.
● All other appropriate job duties as directed by management.
*Job Skills & Qualifications*
Required:
● Valid driver’s license
● One or more years of experience in construction
● Ability to lift heavy equipment
● Understanding of basic math
Preferred:
● High school diploma or equivalent
*Physical Requirements*
● Stand or sit for long periods of time.
● Able to lift to 50lbs.
● Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
● See details of objects that are more than a few feet away.
● Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath.
● Understand the speech of another person.
● Determine the distance between objects.
● Focus on one source of sound and ignore others.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.
00 - $20.
00 per hour
