Starting pay $23 - $27/hour based on driving and ready mix experience.
Positions available at our plant in Olathe, Kansas.
Responsibilities
Health and Safety: Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
Ensures all aspects of his/her role are executed in a safe manner.
Obeys safety guidelines when on public roads, construction sites and Talon or Quicksilver operations.
Environment: Establish the environment as a priority in daily activities and act as a steward to the environment.
Demonstrate a commitment to meet or exceed environmental compliance.
Customer Focus: Ensure good customer relations.
Collect payment for materials when required.
Must be able to communicate effectively with customers.
Assist other drivers at the job site and plant when necessary.
Delivery & Production: Maneuver truck into loading or unloading positions, by following all best practices to include identifying all hazards and communicating with spotter.
Load and unload chutes to distribute concrete while walking over a variety of terrain.
Truck Maintenance & Image: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
Check vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
Responsible for maintaining truck cleanliness and basic truck maintenance.
Plant Maintenance & Image: Assist with plant maintenance.
Setup and inspect equipment prior to operation.
Service and/or help with repairs as needed.
Clean up around plant as needed.
Help striping and pouring concrete blocks.
Communication & Reporting: Responsible for the documentation of material delivered.
Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages to the vehicles.
