It is a Nationally Accredited program for children 1-12 years of age.
Hilltop is licensed for 314 children.

*Job Description:*
1.
Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate daily program that meets the needs and interests of children involved, both individually and as a group.
Present this program through a daily schedule of play, lessons, rest, and meals which is flexible, yet maintains routine.
The program should include, but not be limited to, the following areas: *(70%)*
* gross and fine motor
* language, cognition, and memory
* pre-math and pre-literacy
* creative expression in music, art, and dramatic play
* sensory exploration and science
* positive self-concept and social skills
* independence and self-help
* health, safety, and nutrition

Maintain a warm and nurturing atmosphere to meet the emotional and social needs of the children and families, while also applying effective, developmentally appropriate, and positive discipline methods that enable the children to grow and learn.

Implement effective communication with parents including, but not limited to, the following: *(10%)*
* Weekly lesson plans posted in classroom.
* Daily conversation at drop-off and/or pick-up.
* Written newsletters, reminders, reports on a regular basis.
* Twice yearly conferences including assessment of child’s progress.
4.
Follow KDHE licensing regulations and NAEYC accreditation criteria, including careful supervision and awareness of all children at all times and excellent maintenance of health and safety.
Supervise and help other adults do the same.

Follow NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct when interacting with children, families, coworkers or members of the community.

*Salary information:* Salary depends upon level of education and amount of appropriate teaching experience.
*Starting Salary Range: *commensurate with experience
*Hours:* 7:15 – 4:15 or 8:30 – 5:30 with a 1 hour and 15 minute unpaid break.
*Benefits:* Following orientation, full-time employees are entitled to one paid sick/personal day a month.
After 60 days of employment, full-time employees will receive paid holidays and paid vacation hours.
Also, after 60 days, employees are eligible for medical insurance provided by Hilltop at no cost to the employee.
Hilltop also offers a 2.
5% retirement match for all full time staff.
